Jay-Z
successful new business venture makes a stamp on American Culture: Made In
America
![]() |
Jay-Z is no stranger when it comes to
new business ventures and is arguable one of the most successful musicians
creating his brand and empire. Jay-Z new venture would be a festival during the
popular summer holiday Labor Day weekend. This festival is not just about
groups of people gathering and enjoying music but really a group of people that
would not normally come together to celebrate America.
“You’re really speaking about 28 acts
that are extremely diverse that are all gonna bring in their own music thing. I
really want to break down genres in all media- film, TV, radio. I think that
genres in media drive that separation and Made In America is gonna show it
doesn’t make a difference, as long as you can bring people together under the
same mindset.” - Steve Stoute
Jay-Z is credited and recognized as a
brilliant businessman who can foresee various angles of opportunities and
continues to make his impact on American culture. But this is not just a
festival, it will also be a film about the makings of the festival and will contain
concert footage. Another brilliant move on Jay-Z and Co and of course another
source of revenue.
Also during the festival there was an
important message, all young adults need to register to vote and exercise their
American right. Everyone knows that Jay-Z is a supporter to President Barack
Obama so it was not a huge surprise that he would show a clip of the President
asking young adults to register to vote. Also during the concert, there were
volunteers registering attendees to vote. Not to mention that all the proceeds
of the festival went to United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New
Jersey.
“We want
people to walk away saying, ‘Wow this is one of the best shows I’ve ever gone
to.’” – Steve Stoute
This
concert series seems like it was a true success; sold out attendance, the
creation of a film, celebrating America culture, and enjoying two days of music
from the likes of Pearl Jam, Run DMC, Drake, Skrillex, and Janelle Monae.

Jay-Z new business venture is?
This morning I was listening to the Obie & Lil Shawn morning show on Power 95.3 while I was driving to my branding class at Full
Sail University. Coincidently they were talking about Jay-Z getting into a new
business venture. I’m sure some of you were thinking what the heck now right?
Well, its Barbie dolls but it’s not your normal doll. This
collection will consist of one male and three female black dolls wearing
Rocawear clothing line. This is not official just yet and the morning show got
their information from mediatakeout.com. The website also created mock
versions of the dolls that you see down below.
I think this is brilliant! Think about it, little kids love
dolls and it is one of the most common toys especially among little girls. Anything that surrounds them they are often influence by and they want what they see. Now
they will be able to look just like their favorite doll. Tell me what do you think?
